The Institute of Power Engineering and Control Systems (IPEC), APP, hosted a memorable and heartfelt event that would forever remain in the memory of the academic community. Memorial plaques were solemnly unveiled in honour of the Institute’s graduates and students who gave their lives while defending Ukraine during the full-scale war.
In the corridor of the main building, along the path to the leadership office of the Institute of Power Engineering and Control Systems, memorial plaques have been installed – a lasting tribute to those the University calls its «warriors of light». Every day, students, faculty, and visitors of APP will walk past these plaques, encountering the faces of those who once sat in these classrooms, worked in these laboratories, dreamed of the future – and ultimately chose to defend their Motherland.
On March 6, the academic community of the Institute, along with relatives and friends of the fallen heroes, as well as teachers and students, gathered to fulfill a solemn duty – to immortalize the names of those who stood in defense of Ukraine and gave the most precious gift of all – their lives.
From now on, everyone who walks through this corridor will stop, even if only for a moment, to look into the eyes of the Heroes and commemorate those who gave us the right to live, study, and dream. Their names will forever be a part of the University’s history and the history of Ukraine.
