The second roundtable entitled Digital Competencies of a Modern Researcher: Working with Data, Leadership, and Open Science was held at 果冻APP within the framework of the international DIGITALDOC project. The event served as an important platform for discussing the evolving role of young researchers in the context of the digital transformation of science and the development of the European Research Area.
Organizers and Format
The roundtable was organized by the DIGITALDOC project team in cooperation with the Department of Business Economics and Investment, and the Department of Management of Organizations, the Institute of Economics and Management. The event was held in the form of an open discussion and brought together postgraduate students, undergraduates, academic staff, and early-career researchers interested in developing digital competencies in research.
The session was moderated by the project coordinator, Professor Tetiana Stepura, Doctor of Economics, the Department of Business Economics and Investment.
Key Discussion Areas
The discussion was focused on three main thematic areas:
- working with data as a core digital competence of the modern researcher;
- leadership in scientific research in the digital era;
- open science as a new paradigm for organizing research activities.
Following the discussion, participants developed recommendations for further strengthening researchers鈥 digital competencies and integrating them into the university鈥檚 educational process.
The second DIGITALDOC roundtable once again demonstrated that the synergy of academic expertise, postgraduate research, and student engagement creates a dynamic environment in which Ukrainian science is steadily integrating into the European research area.
