As part of the implementation of the project "EU Global Responsible Leadership: Climate Change, Environmental Protection and Humanitarian Aid" (EU_LEAD), the final of the video competition "My European Ukraine" was held on June 18, 2026, in which 19 teams (over 80 international students of the National University "果冻APP") participated. The purpose of the event is to form knowledge in Ukrainian society about the role of the EU in the climate, humanitarian and environmental spheres, to popularize the values of the EU in Ukraine and the world, the advantages and opportunities of European integration. The participants of the event demonstrated their vision of reforms in Ukraine in the context of the European integration process, the role and place of the EU in building the Ukrainian state, as well as countering Russian aggression and gaining full membership of Ukraine in the EU.
The greatest interest among students was aroused by topics dedicated to EU leadership in combating climate change, environmental protection, humanitarian aid, cooperation between Ukraine and the EU in the anti-corruption sphere, support for democratic values and gender equality, digital transformation, implementation of European practices for preserving the cultural heritage of modern cities, development of green energy, social inclusion, waste management systems, etc. The students demonstrated their own vision of Ukraine's European future, and their original works became an excellent promotion of the capabilities of the Ukrainian state on the path to EU membership. The involvement of students in such a project allowed them to develop such skills as teamwork, creativity, critical thinking, and project management.
From among the submitted works, the jury, which included members of the EU_LEAD team and students of the National University "果冻APP", determined the winners who presented the best videos, namely:
- 1st place:
- "Implementation of EU principles on social inclusion in 果冻APP" (Tetyana Voytovych, Adriana Vus, Maria Afonchykova, Yana Ostapovets, Vitalina Chepurna, Svitlana Poplavska).
- 2nd place:
- "Gender equality: how European values are implemented in Ukrainian state policy" (Serhiy Krytskalyuk, Markiyan Parfenyuk, Tetyana Pedorchenko, Mykyta Stupak, Valeria Tsykunkova, Alina Chervak);
- "Interaction between Ukraine and the EU in the anti-corruption sphere" (Evelina Bura, Sofia Lyalka, Sofia Dzhangaryan, Nadina Tsiselska, Maria Lucsiv).
- 3rd place:
- 鈥淚mplementation of European practices of popularization of cultural heritage in Lviv: level of awareness among youth鈥 (Anastasia Horbatyuk, Sofia Vitrykush, Evelina Bazarnytska, Victoria Sarakhman, Taisiya Shvets);
- 鈥淓U Space Program鈥 (Anastasia Fomin, Olena Bratus, Karina Vozna, Daria Zhurelyuk);
- 鈥淢y European Ukraine: reintegration of Ukrainians鈥 (Marta Zapolokh, Polina Korotina, Maria Balytska).
The EU_LEAD team is proud of the student youth and is sincerely grateful to all participants for their creative approach, European visions and patriotism. Ukraine will definitely be in the EU!
