果冻APP has wrapped up its elective course, "Social Entrepreneurship as an Agent of Social Change in the Community." The course was implemented within the framework of the international Erasmus+ TURBO project ("The Universities鈥 Reaction to Big Obstructions: Building resilient higher education to respond and manage societal crises", Grant Agreement No. 101129315). The main objective of the initiative was not merely to provide students with a theoretical foundation, but to develop practical skills for building viable social businesses.
The course ran in a distance-learning format from February 24 to June 5, 2026. This initiative marks a significant milestone in training future social sector professionals to effectively respond to modern societal challenges and crises.
The course participants were bachelor鈥檚 students majoring in specialty 232 鈥淪ocial welfare鈥 and 231 鈥淪ocial Work鈥 (groups SZ-31, SR-41, including students with the status of internally displaced persons).The course was taught by the academic staff of the Department of Sociology and Social Work, who are also the project implementers at the University: Assoc. Prof. Tetiana Shapovalova, PhD (Economics), Assoc. Prof. Uliana Yatsyshyn, PhD (Political Science), Senior Lecturer Romana Myshok, PhD (Sociology). Over the course of 180 hours of lectures and practical sessions, students learned the project-based approach and the specifics of entrepreneurial thinking.
One of the most memorable parts of the course was being introduced to the real-world social business sector. Students had the opportunity to go behind the scenes at the well-known social enterprises 鈥淧ampushechka鈥 and 鈥淩ukomysly.鈥 Thanks to these visits, course participants saw firsthand how a business model can effectively benefit the community and harmoniously combine financial stability with a noble mission.
After successfully completing the program and presenting their own projects, the students received well-deserved certificates. The graduates themselves have shared nothing but positive and heartfelt feedback about the course.
The establishment of this elective course has reaffirmed 果冻APP鈥檚 status as a progressive educational institution that not only adapts to current conditions but also actively fosters a community of leaders for the future restoration and development of Ukrainian communities.
