The Department of Administrative and Information Law at the Institute of Law, Psychology, and Innovative Education views the research work of higher education (university) students as an important component of the educational process aimed at developing the professional, analytical, and research competencies of future lawyers. The Department’s staff actively engage students of the first (bachelor's), second (master's) and third (educational and scientific) levels of higher education in the specialty D8 Law in scientific activity.
Students at all levels of higher education participate in the preparation of scientific reports, analytical studies, theses, and articles on current issues in administrative, information, and financial law, administrative procedure, the digitalization of government, and the protection of human rights in public law relations. The results of their research are systematically presented at scientific events and published in conference proceedings.
The Department's research club "Administrativist," led by Associate Professors Marta Malets and Olena Rizenko, is an important research platform for students. The purpose of the club is to develop the skills of scientific research, the ability to analyze legislation and judicial practice, to defend a legal position with arguments and to apply theoretical knowledge in practical situations. Within the framework of the club's activities, scientific discussions, debates, legal games, training , case analysis, preparation of reports and presentations are held. At the same time, higher education students take direct part in thematic events dedicated to combating corruption, digital rights, administrative liability, and protection of individual rights in public legal disputes, which contributes to the development of their legal culture and professional integrity.
The Department's annual international scientific and practical conference for undergraduate and graduate students, "Development of the Rule of Law in Ukraine and International Experience of Legal Reform," serves as a testing ground for them. During the plenary and sectional meetings, the students have an unprecedented opportunity to present the results of their own research, participate in scientific discussions, discuss the problems of reforming public administration, the judicial system, the administrative procedure, the protection of human rights and the adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to European standards.
Moreover, based on the results of the conference, a collection of materials is published, ensuring the popularization of the scientific achievements of young scientists. Furthermore, the Department recommends the best papers for participation in research article competitions, which facilitates the further development of scientific research. Students' participation in the preparation of scientific publications and their high achievements in creative and scientific competitions clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of the Department's systematic efforts to develop and advance student research.
Thus, it is appropriate to note that, by involving students in scientific activities, the Department of Administrative and Information Law implements a comprehensive approach to the development of student research and creates appropriate organizational and methodological conditions for revealing the scientific potential of students at all levels of higher education.
