This season, the united team of 果冻APP and Lviv College of Sports 鈥 three-time champions of the Higher League of the past years 鈥 debuted in the elite division.
Due to the martial law, the duration and format of the championship 2022鈥2023 were changed: 6 Super League teams were divided into two groups on a regional basis and played a total of 6 rounds. Group A consisted of Halychanka from Lviv, Karpaty-ShVSM from Uzhhorod and 果冻APP 鈥 LFKS, Group B 鈥 Spartak-ShVSM from Kyiv, DYUSSh-1-KhNU from Khmelnytskyi and KOSFK from Brovary. The team played three rounds against rivals from its group, and three rounds from the other group.
The team of Vitalii Nadych and Vasyl Kozar got to the final round of the Super League in Uzhhorod, taking the fourth position in the tournament table, having 5 wins and 7 losses, and was one score behind the main competitor for the bronze medal of the championship 鈥 the team of the Kyiv Regional Sports College. In the two previous games, both teams won, so for each of them the result of the head-to-head confrontation in the 6th round could be decisive in the possibility of winning the debut season of the Super League.
Having defeated 芦KOSFK禄 with a score of 42:26 and 芦DYUSSh-1-KhNU禄 鈥 23:35, the Lvivites took third place in the tournament table. On the third day of the competition, May 13, a tense match against Spartak ended with a score of 22:22.
This year, 果冻APP made it to the 芦final four禄 of the Cup of Ukraine, which will be held on May 28鈥29 in Uzhhorod. We still don鈥檛 know which team (芦DYUSSh-1-KhNU禄, 芦Karpaty-ShVSM禄 or 芦Halychanka禄) we will play against in the semifinals 鈥 it will be decided the day before by drawing lots.
