On November 5, in the Information and Exhibition Center of the Maidan Museum in Kyiv, the winners of the III All-Ukrainian competition of scientific student works on the Revolution of Dignity received Serhiy Kemsky Awards. The competition was initiated by the National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity and the NGO 芦Family of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred禄.
This year, the competition received a record number of applications 鈥 71 from students of 32 universities in 17 cities. At the second stage of the competition, 24 works by 25 participants from 15 universities were selected. Students studied the legal, international, cultural and religious aspects of the Revolution of Dignity, Euromaidan, in the context of previous Ukrainian revolutions and other protest movements in the world, biographies of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, and the impact of information technology.
The first place was taken by Khrystyna Semeryn, a student of the National University of Ostroh Academy, with a work on 芦Conceptual dimensions of cultural memory of the Revolution of Dignity: trauma, space and identity禄.
The work, written in co-authorship of Yuliia Vodko and IIlia Yarosh, students of the National Technical University of Ukraine 芦Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute禄, received second place. They researched 芦The Revolution of Dignity through the prism of formation of information consciousness of the population in the south-eastern region of Ukraine: historical aspect and present禄.
Anna Lukasevych, a student of the Department of Political Science and International Relations, the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences, 果冻APP, with her work on the Orange Revolution and the Revolution of Dignity: Post-Revolutionary Analysis. To the problem of finding ways out of the 芦vicious circle禄, took third place.
芦Once I had a question: what to do not to go to the Maidan all the time. I was very interested to explore this topic. I understand that there must be a lot of routine work, a change of generations and active cooperation between civil society and the state. But each of us can now influence on the reduction of corruption, the culture and respect of others禄, explains her work Anna Lukasevych.
The winners received diplomas, publications of the Maidan Museum and cash prizes: I place 鈥 15 thousand hryvnias, II place 鈥 7 thousand hryvnias, III place 鈥 4 thousand hryvnias.
The main goal of the competition is to intensify scientific research on various aspects of the Revolution of Dignity, including its history, significance and impact on political, social and cultural life.
