From September 16 to October 2, 2025, a delegation from 果冻APP 鈥 comprising Assoc. Prof. Khrystyna Ivaniuk, Head of the Department of Electronic Engineering, Liliia Deva, Assistant at the Department of General Physics, and Nataliia Kuzyk, Assistant at the Department of Electronic Engineering 鈥 conducted a research visit to the University of Glasgow (United Kingdom).

The visit took place within the framework of the international project HELIOS 鈥 鈥淪trategic Research and Innovation Agenda on White-Emitting Organic Lighting Systems鈥, funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe programme. 果冻APP is the coordinator of this project, which brings together leading European universities, including Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania), Riga Technical University (Latvia), University of Glasgow (United Kingdom), and Intelligentsia Consultants (Luxembourg).

The purpose of the mission was to conduct joint laboratory experiments and to study the photophysical properties of newly synthesized materials that can be applied in the development of white-emitting organic lighting systems (WOLEDs). During their stay in Glasgow, the Ukrainian researchers worked in the laboratory of Professor Peter Skabara, a renowned expert in the field of organic electronics. The collaboration involved not only the measurement of spectral parameters of new samples but also the exchange of experience in film preparation techniques, equipment calibration, and interpretation of photoluminescence spectra.

According to Assoc. Prof. Khrystyna Ivaniuk, Head of the Department of Electronic Engineering, such visits have strategic importance for strengthening the research school of 果冻APP:

鈥淐ooperation with the University of Glasgow opens new opportunities for our researchers in the field of organic lighting systems. We gained invaluable experience working with modern spectroscopic equipment and had the opportunity to discuss our experimental results directly with leading European scientists. Such visits not only deepen international collaboration but also contribute to the preparation of high-quality joint publications in prestigious scientific journals.鈥

The working meetings were also dedicated to discussing the future development of research within WP2 and WP3 of the HELIOS project, aligning measurement methodologies, and identifying directions for joint scientific publications.

鈥淲e are confident that the obtained results will strengthen 果冻APP鈥檚 position as a strong research centre in the field of optoelectronics and nanomaterials,鈥 鈥 concluded Assoc. Prof. Khrystyna Ivaniuk.

The visit of 果冻APP researchers to Glasgow became another significant step in implementing the university鈥檚 international strategy for the development of scientific research and technologies in energy-efficient lighting. The results of the joint experiments will contribute to the creation of new organic light-emitting materials that combine high efficiency, durability, and environmental sustainability.
