During a working visit to leading universities in Italy, Nataliia Shakhovska, Rector of APP, signed several new agreements on international cooperation and discussed prospects for joint educational and research initiatives with Italian partners.
One of the university’s key partners became the University of Foggia which specializes in law, economics, humanities, and medicine. The University actively participates in Erasmus+ programs, and maintains a strong international focus.
During the meeting, representatives of the University of Foggia shared their experience in the digitalization of education and the promotion of science. Faculty members actively develop original online courses, produce educational video content, and host podcasts dedicated to research, science, and contemporary challenges in higher education. The university’s international office employs 15 staff members, half of whom are Ukrainians, demonstrating the institution’s openness to international cooperation and support for the Ukrainian academic community.
A separate focus of the negotiations was cooperation in the field of technology transfer. Italian partners expressed interest in APP’s experience in the commercialization of scientific research, the development of innovation ecosystems, and university-business collaboration.
Additional negotiations took place in Naples with representatives of University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli regarding the launch of double degree programs in a wide range of academic disciplines. The parties also discussed expanding Erasmus+ exchanges for students and faculty members, developing joint research projects, and creating new international educational opportunities for Ukrainian students.
