The event started with a welcome speech by Iryna Kliuchkovska. The director of IECDR emphasized the many years of painstaking work of Askold Lozynskyi for the Ukrainian community and noted the relevance of the book 芦Because Muscovites are foreign people...禄: 芦This book is the view of a person from across the ocean who sees us under special optics and notices what we do not see. This optics is aimed not only at Ukraine during the war, but also at the Ukrainian diaspora. It gives an opportunity to analyze what is right and what is not禄.
The author of the books, Askold Lozynskyi, focused his speech on several important issues: he addressed the Ukrainian students present at the event and urged them to learn English and use it to talk about Ukraine: 芦The world is today. No one, except Russians and people of the Soviet Union, reads in Russian anymore. The world language is English. You need to study it. Speak to each other in Ukrainian, but read in English. Forget about Russian!禄 Askold Lozynsky briefly spoke about each of his books, paying tribute to Volodymyr Yaniv, Rector of the Ukrainian Free University: 芦He was not only a scientist, but also a plast member. He was an extraordinary figure who shows by his own example that if you are a plast or a revolutionary from a young age, you will always remain such a person禄.
