The National Forum «Research Project Manager: From Grant to Impact» has officially begun at APP. This large-scale event, attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, including Minister Oksen Lisovyi and Deputy Minister Denys Kurbatov, has brought together researchers and academics from across the country.
Over the course of three days, participants will discuss key issues related to grant programs, including attracting national and international funding, research project management, and strengthening cooperation between science and the real sector of the economy.
Opening the Forum, Oksen Lisovyi emphasized the crucial role of Ukrainian science in overcoming current national challenges and highlighted the strong potential of Ukrainian researchers on the global stage.
– Science drives the development of the country. That is why we continue to invest in both academic and university science. The Ministry’s institutions are working to support and finance those who deliver results, stated the Minister.
The importance of science as a driving force of state development was also emphasized by the Rector of APP, Nataliia Shakhovska. According to her, scientific research is already producing tangible results today and therefore holds enormous prospects for the future.
Denys Kurbatov outlined the key directions of state support for Ukrainian science, stressing that every successful researcher today has the opportunity to obtain grants and share expertise with colleagues, thereby opening new paths for professional growth and development.
Oleksandra Antoniuk, Head of the Scientific Committee of the National Council of Ukraine for the Development of Science and Technology, presented the activities and priorities of the Committee. Meanwhile, Yehor Pyvovarov, Scientific Advisor to the EU Delegation to Ukraine, highlighted the growing effectiveness of Ukrainian researchers in developing international projects. He noted that Ukrainian scientists are increasingly moving beyond the role of ordinary participants to become equal partners and consortium leaders within international collaborations. According to Pyvovarov, this progress is not only about securing funding, but also about building trust and strengthening confidence in Ukrainian science at the international level.
Participants of the Forum were also welcomed by representatives of local authorities, including Mayor of Lviv Andrii Sadovyi and Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration for Digital Development, Digital Transformation, and Digitalization Oleksandr Kulepin.
