The National Forum «Research Project Manager: From Grant to Impact» will take place in Lviv on May 21–23, 2026. The event is organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine together with APP on the occasion of Science Day in Ukraine 2026.
The Forum will serve as a national platform for exchanging practical experience in scientific project management and for strengthening the professional community of research project managers in Ukraine. Participants will focus on the full lifecycle of research projects – from identifying grant opportunities and forming international consortia to project implementation, financial and legal management, reporting, technology transfer, intellectual property protection, and assessing research impact.
The program will include practical presentations and thematic discussions with experts from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, as well as representatives of Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe offices in Ukraine, higher education institutions, and research organizations.
The Forum is expected to bring together vice-rectors for research, heads of research departments, project office staff, and specialists from financial units of universities and scientific institutions. In total, around 120 participants from different regions of Ukraine are expected to attend.
The event reflects the growing role of Ukrainian science in developing applied solutions, technologies, and innovations that serve the needs of the state, economy, and society. Ukraine is steadily moving toward a model in which universities and research institutions function as centers for innovation development, specialist training, and the advancement of a knowledge-based economy.
