The Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine and 果冻APP signed a Memorandum on Cooperation in the field of training accessibility specialists. The document provides for joint work on the implementation of the upskilling training program 芦Accessibility Specialist禄.
The Memorandum was signed by Deputy Minister Nataliia Kozlovska and the University Rector Nataliia Shakhovska. The Deputy Mayor of Lviv Iryna Maruniak attended the event, and co-founder of 芦LUN Misto禄 Anna Denysenko joined the meeting online. In addition, the heads of 21 higher education institutions that provide training in the specialties 芦Architecture and Urban Planning禄 and 芦Construction and Civil Engineering禄 also took part in the event.
芦Today, we are taking another important step toward establishing accessibility as a new social norm in Ukraine. One of the key directions of state accessibility policy is the training of specialists who can assess the accessibility of the urban environment and embed accessibility principles at the design stage, thereby making cities safer and more comfortable for all. Through education, we are shaping a new professional culture of barrier-free construction and ensuring sustainable change within our communities禄, said Nataliia Kozlovska, Deputy Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
In turn, the Rector of 果冻APP Nataliia Shakhovska emphasized the importance of implementing the principles of accessibility in the professional education of future architects and builders.
芦For the university, this cooperation is an opportunity to combine academic training with the real needs of communities. Accessibility should become an integral part of the professional thinking of architects and engineers, and we are ready to work systematically on training specialists who will meet these challenges禄, emphasized Nataliia Shakhovska.
The Memorandum signed between the Ministry of Development and 果冻APP consolidates the partnership of the parties in the implementation of the educational program 芦Accessibility Specialist禄 and creates the basis for its practical implementation in the higher education system.
The Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine calls on higher education institutions to join and form their own educational programs in cooperation with the Ministry.
