The Lviv Regional Association of Employers’ Organizations is one of the largest and most representative associations of entrepreneurs and employers in the Lviv region, encompassing 16 local territorial organizations. The memorandum establishes a strategic partnership between the University and the business community, aimed at aligning employer needs with the educational environment, enhancing the quality of specialist training, promoting technological development, and expanding professional opportunities for graduates.
The parties agreed to foster an institutional dialogue between business and education, organize regular meetings between industry representatives and the University’s specialized Institutes, exchange information on current labour market needs, and develop recommendations for adapting educational programs to the demands of the economy. Particular emphasis is placed on industry partnerships in machine industry, mechanical engineering, power engineering, law and professional consulting, hotel and restaurant management, tourism and recreation, as well as other sectors of the economy in line with regional priorities.
In the area of educational integration, the plan includes guest lectures by business representatives, employer involvement in updating educational and professional programs and curricula, and the implementation of micro-qualifications and short-term programs tailored to specific market needs. Practical student training will involve organizing industrial internships at enterprises, introducing paid internships, and developing dual education models.
The memorandum also foresees material, technical, and technological collaboration, including the modernization of departmental laboratory facilities, provision of modern equipment, technological solutions, and support for applied research. Scientific and innovative cooperation will include joint scientific and practical conferences, employer participation in the commercialization of intellectual property, and the development of technology transfer and innovative projects.
The parties plan to conduct joint career guidance activities for schoolchildren, promote technical and applied professions, and develop a talent pool for regional enterprises. Special emphasis is placed on supporting the creation of businesses and employer organizations by University graduates and fostering a network of collaboration between the business community and their alma mater.
