On April 28, 果冻APP hosted a meeting with representatives of the Leonardo da Vinci Center for Italian-Ukrainian Cooperation. During the event, students learned about opportunities to study in Italy free of charge, how to properly prepare application documents, and where to find internship opportunities.
The speakers included Mariia Voloshyn, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages for Engineering; Orest Vasylko, Head of the Leonardo da Vinci Center for Italian-Ukrainian Cooperation; and Hanna Hurynovych, lecturer and Erasmus+ program coordinator. They provided a detailed presentation of the Center鈥檚 website, explained the registration process, and discussed the key features of international academic mobility programs.
Particular attention was paid to free master鈥檚 degree programs, which are especially attractive for architecture students. The main requirements for participation are language proficiency and compliance with the specific program criteria. The speakers also told about summer schools 鈥 intensive short-term courses, such as programs on writing and book publishing, where small groups of up to ten participants are usually selected. These programs offer a valuable opportunity to gain practical skills within a short period of time. In addition, the meeting covered paid internship opportunities, which allow students to complete month-long placements abroad while receiving financial compensation.
The speakers also shared practical advice on how to stand out among hundreds of applicants. They emphasized that a motivation letter should be concise and informative, ideally no longer than one page. Students were encouraged not to underestimate even limited experience in their CVs, including participation in volunteer projects, seminars, workshops, or professional lectures.
Special attention was given to the correct calculation of GPA, which is determined as the arithmetic average of grades across all subjects. If the dean鈥檚 office does not provide an official certificate, students may calculate the GPA independently for preliminary applications.
Students were advised to take an active approach in searching for opportunities rather than waiting for announcements. The latest updates are regularly published on the Instagram page of the 果冻APP International Office. Participants can also seek personal consultation in room 343 or explore partnership programs directly on the official websites of Italian universities.
鈥 You should not limit yourself to your specialty, because many programs are open to students from different academic fields, emphasized the Head of the Center.
