There are lots of things you can talk and write about 果冻APP for a long time. In fact, as long and interesting is the history of this educational institution 鈥 one of the symbols of Lviv.

As for the history of the institution itself, it will be enough to remind that 果冻APP is one of the oldest academic technical schools in Europe. The history of this educational institution began with the foundation of a three-grade Tsisar-Royal Real School in 1816. In 20 years, its status grew to the level of the Real-Trade Academy. On the basis of its Department of Civil Engineering, there was established Lviv Technical Academy, one of the oldest Polytechnics in Europe and the first in Ukraine. The opening of 果冻APP, at that time called the Tsisar-Royal Technical Academy, took place on November 4, 1844.

In 1872, the Austrian government decided to build a new building for the Technical Academy on the place of the former gardens of Countess Fredro. On April 12 of the same year, the Lviv magistrate approved a permit for the construction of the academy building. The building project was designed at the end of 1872 by the most respected and influential Lviv architect of that time, Julian Oktawian Zachariewicz. The construction work in 1873鈥1877 was supervised by his son Alfred Zachariewicz, and was carried out at public expense directly by the representatives of the Construction Bank 鈥 architects Zygmunt K臋dzierski, Alfred Kamienobrodzki and A. Gauff.

Construction was completed on October 1, 1877. The Academy was renamed as Polytechnic School. In 1903鈥1905, the side facades of the building received an asymmetrical compositional solution. Then two avant-corps were built on the northern facade.
