The main purpose of its publication is to familiarize future applicants, their parents, educators and all interested parties with open data on the admission campaign to Ukrainian higher education institutions.
The publication of the ranking is primarily intended to inform young people planning to apply to higher education institutions in 2026. It will help prospective applicants navigate the opportunities for admission to Ukrainian universities, assess their chances, and properly choose a higher education institution. The ranking may also be useful for university administrations, managers at various levels, and education experts.
The statistical data presented in the ranking are divided into several groups and include information on the average score of applicants on the National Multisubject Test, the number of students admitted to state-funded and contract places, the level of competition per state-funded place, as well as other indicators.
Highest NMT Score for State-Funded Places
This ranking provides information on the average score of the National Multisubject Test (NMT) of applicants who were admitted to the first year of bachelor’s degree programs funded by the state or local budgets. The data may be useful for applicants and their parents in assessing their chances of gaining admission to their chosen universities for state-funded places.
The average NMT score was calculated among all applicants admitted to the first year of bachelor’s programs on the basis of complete general secondary education (11 years of schooling), in both full-time and part-time forms of study, whose education is funded by the state or local budgets.
Since the number of applicants to higher education institutions on a budget varies significantly across universities, the confidence coefficient for the average NMT score (15% of the rating score) was used to calculate the rating score and rank institutions in the rating.
According to the results of the rating by the indicator «National Multi-Subject Test Score for State-Funded Education», APP took first place.
