果冻APP has completed for the third time an optional course within the framework of the EU_LEAD project with the support of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet program "Global Responsible EU Leadership: Climate Change, Environmental Protection and Humanitarian Aid" for applicants for the specialty "International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies" (OP "International Relations") of the National University "果冻APP". Lectures and seminar classes of the course were held in an online format from November 11, 2025 to January 9, 2026. This year, 100 students (three study groups) gathered to take the optional course, which is thirty-nine students more than in the previous year, the 2024-2025 academic year. Students who successfully completed practical tasks and passed the final test received a certificate of completion of the EU_LEAD course.
The purpose of introducing the interactive Euromodule is to study the content of the European Union's global leadership through the prism of three key dimensions, namely: promoting climate values, environmental protection and humanitarian aid. The proposed module also aims to form knowledge about the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian war on the evolution of the European Union's subjectivity in modern global politics, projecting EU power in support of Ukraine through the provision of powerful humanitarian aid, introducing a special mechanism for the protection of Ukrainian refugees, launching the EUAM and EUMAM missions, EU plans, programs, initiatives for the post-war green recovery of Ukraine, as well as the EU's supporting potential within the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance and the EU's special mechanism for Ukraine, the Ukraine Facility, etc. The module formed in students both theoretical knowledge in the field of EU foreign policy and practical skills in projecting EU power in today's changing world. This not only strengthened the understanding of the EU's leadership in global politics, but also contributed to the process of involving the general public, representatives of academic circles, and students in internal transformations in Ukraine, in accordance with European standards and norms. Graduates will be able to apply such knowledge in their professional activities, better understand the EU's subjectivity, its role as a global responsible leader, mainly in the field of climate and humanitarian diplomacy, environmental protection, and popularize European values.
The training sessions were accompanied not only by interactive practical classes, but also by a number of additional events, such as: public lectures by invited speakers, a meeting of the Euroclub "EU for YOU". An extremely interesting and popular event was the Polish-Ukrainian Youth Climate Forum. It is valuable that the course was attended not only by domestic, but also by foreign experts-scientists, practitioners, diplomats, who shared their experience, approach and vision on the issues outlined by the course. This mainly concerns the lecture of the Head of the Department "Support to Ukraine and Military Mobility" (DEFIS.A.2) in the Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS) of the European Commission, Ar奴nas Vin膷i奴nas, on the topic "Resilience of the EU Defence Industry and Support for Ukraine in the Face of Armed Aggression by Russia"; a public lecture by the Dean of the 艩ibenik University of Applied Sciences (Croatia), Doctor of Law, Professor Ljubo Runi膰 and Master of Laws Mario Dominik Buri膰 on the topical topic "Application of the Legal Heritage of the European Union in the Croatian Legal System and Judicial Practice". At the Euroclub meeting, the topic of "green corruption" and the EU's experience in preventing it was raised with Roman Onyshkevych, and they also talked about "Prospects for EU global climate leadership: four alternative futures" with Valeria Hutsalyuk.
The next event within the EU_LEAD project will be the Evening of Getting to Know European Youth Ambassadors - March 3, 2026, as well as a large-scale event - the Youth Summit of European Youth Ambassadors, which will take place on Europe Day - May 12, 2026.
Prof. Yaryna Turchyn, Assoc. Prof. Olha Ivasechko, Assoc. Prof. Oleg Tsebenko shared their knowledge about the EU's global responsible leadership with students during the Euromodule.
