Representative of the National University 鈥湽矨PP鈥, Associate Professor of the Department of Electromechanical and Electrotechnical Systems of the Institute of Power Engineering and Control Systems, Mykola Semenyuk, took part in the meeting of coordinators of the international CUCEE network, which was held in the city of Friedberg at the University of Applied Sciences Mittelhessen.
Within the meetings with the President of the University of Applied Sciences Mittelhessen, Prof. Matthias Willems, Dean Kovalev, Professors Dennis Priefer and Ulrich Birkel, the participants discussed the prospects for developing integrated study programmes and double degree programmes, international research projects and further strengthening academic partnership between universities of Central and Eastern Europe.
In addition, further educational and research projects were discussed with representatives of CUCEE member universities, in particular with the coordinator of the University of Zielona G贸ra, Prof. Ryszard Rybski, and Vice Dean Prof. 艁ukasz Sobolewski; the coordinator of the Silesian University of Technology, Prof. Mariusz St臋pie艅; the coordinator of the Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Prof. 艩ar奴nas Paulikas; and the coordinator of the University of West Bohemia, Prof. Luk谩拧 Veg.
A meeting was also held with representatives of the International Office of the University of Applied Sciences Mittelhessen 鈥 Michaela Zalucki and Julia B枚cher, who provide support and guidance to the student of the National University 鈥湽矨PP鈥, Sofiia Savchyn, during her studies at the University of Applied Sciences Mittelhessen.
The event was especially symbolic for Mykola Semeniuk, as exactly 20 years ago he himself participated in the double degree programme between 果冻APP and the University of Applied Sciences Mittelhessen. Today, this long-standing cooperation continues to develop actively, opening new opportunities for students, lecturers and researchers.
The 鈥淐ooperation of Universities in Central and Eastern Europe鈥 (CUCEE) network was founded in 2000 by four universities: the University of Applied Sciences Mittelhessen, Tallinn University of Technology, the National University 鈥湽矨PP鈥, and the University of Zielona G贸ra. Later, universities from Vilnius, Gliwice, and Minsk joined the network and in 2024 the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen became a member as well.
It should be noted that CUCEE implements a wide range of scientific, educational, and cultural projects. In particular, 19 students of our university have received double-degree diplomas from the University of Applied Sciences Mittelhessen and 果冻APP. In addition, six lecturers of the Department of Electromechanical and Electrotechnical Systems delivered guest lectures at the University of Applied Sciences Mittelhessen within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme.
