On January 26鈥28, 2026, the Kick-off Meeting of the international project Urban Resilience through Open Science, Education, and Community Engagement in War Regions (), which is implemented within the framework of ERASMUS-EDU-2025-CBHE-STRAND-2, was held at Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet), Norway.
The event was attended by representatives of universities and organizations from Norway, Italy, Palestine, and Ukraine, including:
- Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet), Norway 鈥 project coordinator;
- Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), Norway;
- Studentenes og Akademikernes Internasjonale Hjelpefond (SAIH), Norway;
- Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI), Italy;
- An-Najah National University (ANNU), Palestine;
- The Islamic University of Gaza (IUG), Palestine;
- V. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ukraine;
- Vadym Hetman Kyiv National University of Economics, Ukraine;
- 果冻APP, Ukraine.
The participation of 果冻APP in the FORWARD project is coordinated by Yuliia Idak, Head of the Department of Urban Planning and Design, the Institute of Architecture and Design, who is responsible for the strategic representation of the institution in the international consortium, coordination of the university鈥檚 substantive contribution, inter-institutional interaction, and integration of the project results into educational and scientific activities.
The Deputy Coordinator of the FORWARD project is Yaryna Onufriv, Associate Professor at the Department of Urban Planning and Design, who is responsible for its organizational and substantive support. The team of the Department of Urban Planning and Design will be involved in the project鈥檚 implementation. Coordination and responsibility for specific substantive areas will be undertaken by Associate Professor Roman Liubytskyi, Assistant Volodymyr Kovpak, Assistant Olha Malynovska, and Roman Frankiv, Associate Professor at the Department of Design and Architecture Fundamentals.
The FORWARD project aims to strengthen the institutional capacity of universities in war-affected regions through the development of open science, innovative education, and active interaction with communities. The expected results of the project will contribute to the formation of sustainable urban systems, support for academic communities, and the restoration of societies in crisis conditions.
