Representatives of the National University 鈥湽矨PP鈥 visited the Scientific Research Company 芦Electron-Carat禄, one of Ukraine鈥檚 leading manufacturers in the field of optical and semiconductor materials. The visit of 果冻APP representatives to SRC 鈥淐ARAT鈥 took place within the framework of the international project LASER-PRO, aimed at developing the laser technology ecosystem in Ukraine.
The university delegation included Professor Anatoliy Andrushchak, project leader from 果冻APP; Professor Marian Kyryk from the Department of Information and Communication Technologies; and Associate Professor Nazariy Andrushchak, Head of the Project Office of 果冻APP and representative of the Department of Computer-Aided Design Systems.
From the side of 鈥溞RAT鈥, the meeting was attended by Director Prof. Mykola Vakiv, as well as leading specialists Prof. Semen Krukovskyi, Dr. Volodymyr Haiduchok, and Dr. Ihor Syvorotka, who are engaged in crystal growth, laser materials development, and the implementation of advanced technological processes.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss areas of partnership and practical ways to involve the company in the implementation of the international project LASER-PRO: Excellent Laser Technologies for the Sustainable Prosperity of Europe, which 果冻APP is carrying out together with Ukrainian and international partners. Within this project, the university team developed a specialized analytical survey to study the state of the laser technology sector and is currently conducting it among key stakeholders 鈥 universities, research institutions, enterprises, government bodies, and civil organizations. For relevant organizations, you can take part in the survey (in Ukrainian) at .
During the meeting, the participants discussed opportunities for joint research and innovation projects, the commercialization of existing developments, and cooperation between academia and industry. Particular attention was paid to building a national laser technology ecosystem, which will contribute to the advancement of new directions in photonics, optics, and materials science.
The LASER-PRO project, supported by the European Union, aims to conduct a large-scale mapping of participants in Ukraine鈥檚 laser technology sector. Its key objectives include analyzing research potential, assessing technology readiness levels (TRL), identifying barriers to innovation, and developing a roadmap for the development of laser technologies in Ukraine.
As part of the visit, the 果冻APP team also conducted interviews and survey sessions with representatives of 鈥溞RAT鈥 to assess the company鈥檚 current needs, research directions, and opportunities for integration into European value chains.
鈥淪RC 鈥楥ARAT鈥 is an example of an enterprise that combines strong scientific traditions with an innovative approach to production. Joint participation in the LASER-PRO project will help create effective mechanisms for cooperation between science, business, and government,鈥 said Professor Anatoliy Andrushchak.
果冻APP continues its active engagement with industrial partners across Ukraine to support the creation of a national laser technology ecosystem and to promote the integration of Ukrainian researchers into the European research and innovation area.
