On May 19, 果冻APP hosted a meeting between the University鈥檚 administration, students, and representatives of the Joint-Stock Company 芦National Nuclear Energy Generating Company 芦Energoatom禄 which is a long-standing partner of the University. Currently, many 果冻APP graduates successfully work in various divisions of the company.
Among the guests there were Deputy General Directors for Human Resources of several Energoatom branches: Serhiy Kotelnyk from the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant, Volodymyr Hudz from the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant, Oleh Kyliukh from the Rivne Nuclear Power Plant, and Oleksii Popov from the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
The visit began with a meeting involving Professor Nataliia Shakhovska, Rector of 果冻APP; Professor Iryna Khomyshyn, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Quality of Education; Professor Andrii Maliar, Director of the Institute of Power Engineering and Control Systems; Professor Oleh Matviikiv, Director of the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies; Professor Yurii Kostiv, Director of the Institute of Computer Technologies, Automation and Metrology; Professor Ihor Savchyn, Director of theInstitute of Geodesy; Professor Zenovii Znak, Head of the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Inorganic Substances; Professor Mykhailo Lobur, Head of the Department of Computer-Aided Design; Svitlana Hladun, Head of the Department of Employment and Industrial Relations; Oleh Lohush, Head of Production Practice; and Yurii Novytskyi, Director of the Personnel Department.
During the discussion, participants focused on expanding cooperation between the University and the country鈥檚 largest energy company in order to strengthen the training of highly qualified specialists for Ukraine鈥檚 nuclear energy sector. Rector Nataliia Shakhovska emphasized that cooperation with Energoatom creates significant opportunities for students鈥 professional growth and practical development.
Special attention during the meeting was paid to engaging young people in the development of Ukraine鈥檚 energy sector and preparing a new generation of engineers capable of working with advanced technologies and responding effectively to modern challenges.
Representatives of Energoatom also highlighted that employment at nuclear power plants offers not only professional career opportunities, but also varied social and cultural activities. Employees can do different sports, be members of music bands, attend vocal and choreographic classes, and participate in other recreational and cultural initiatives supported by the enterprises.
Following the presentation, a working discussion took place at the Department of Heat Engineering and Thermal and Nuclear Power Plants, IPEC. The participants discussed in detail the next steps in strengthening cooperation between the University and Energoatom.
