On January 27, the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Lviv Regional Military Administration (LRMA) held a working meeting of the Department鈥檚 management and representatives of 果冻APP. During the meeting, the results of cooperation in 2025 were reviewed and priorities for 2026 were identified within the framework of the international project 芦Excellence Hub for Smart Agriculture and Circular Bioeconomy towards a Sustainable Agrifood Sector in Widening Countries (and Beyond)禄 (AGRI-BIOCIRCULAR-HUB), which is being implemented by researchers of 果冻APP under the Horizon Europe programme.
The AGRI-BIOCIRCULAR-HUB project brings together 21 partners from Ukraine, Poland and Latvia and is aimed at developing a circular bioeconomy and sustainable agriculture. The consortium coordinator is 果冻APP, while the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of Lviv Regional Military Administration ensures the participation of local authorities and the implementation of regional and state strategies in the field of waste management and sustainable development.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a Cooperation Agreement, which provides for joint activities in the field of advanced training of scientific personnel, organization of internships and trainings for students majoring in Ecology (specialty E2), implementation of research projects, holding conferences and seminars, as well as information exchange. Special attention was paid to students鈥 completion of industrial practice and the participation of department representatives in the work of examination committees during the defense of qualification works.
芦AGRI-BIOCIRCULAR-HUB is an example of effective international cooperation, where science and government work together to implement modern approaches in the field of environmental protection. The signing of the agreement with 果冻APP opens up new opportunities for involving scientific potential in solving the environmental problems of the Lviv region and training highly qualified specialists禄, said Volodymyr Korda, Director of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources, Lviv Regional Military Administration.
The parties confirmed their readiness to continue active cooperation in the development of the region鈥檚 environmental policy and its harmonization with European approaches.
