The Spring School «Information Flow Management Technologies for Printing Production» was held at the Institute of Printing Art and Media Technologies (IPTM), APP.

Hosting seasonal career-guidance schools for prospective applicants has already become a well-established tradition of the Department of Computer Technologies in Publishing and Printing Processes (CTPP). Continuing this initiative, the Department organized the Spring School in early March as a follow-up to the Winter School «Modern Printing from Digital Model to Automated Production».

During the opening session, Professor Mykhailo Verkhola, Doctor of Technical Sciences, the Head of the CTPP Department, outlined key priorities in training a new generation of specialists shaped by the modern information society. He emphasized the growing demand for new specialties in the printing industry that integrate information technologies, artificial intelligence, and next-generation robotic systems – areas in which the Department provides comprehensive training.

As part of the program, participants explored the application of advanced information technologies and artificial intelligence in contemporary printing processes. The School offered hands-on experience with immersive technologies, enabling attendees to engage directly with additive manufacturing techniques used in printing production and to observe the full operational cycle of robotic systems.

Special attention was given to innovative solutions such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) applications, 3D printing, and modern methods of information protection in printing. Participants were also introduced to technologies involving QR codes, NFC chips, and LED elements, which are increasingly used to enhance security and functionality in printed products.

Similarly to the Winter School, one of the most engaging elements of the program was a roundtable discussion involving undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Department alongside school participants, including senior high school and vocational college students. This interactive format fostered an open and dynamic exchange of ideas, allowing participants to gain accessible insights into the prospects of the specialties presented, as well as firsthand information about student life at one of Ukraine’s leading universities – APP.

Upon completion of the Spring School, all participants received personalized certificates along with branded merchandise featuring the Department’s logo.
