A unique educational initiative – an elective course on Economic Foundations of Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence – is currently being implemented at the Department of Information Technology Security, the Institute of Computer Technologies, Automation and Metrology, APP.
The course is delivered by a guest lecturer from the United States, Emric Egbert from Weber State University (Utah, USA). He is a Ph.D. student and Professor at Weber State University and Salt Lake Community College, combining academic research with practical teaching experience.
Launched on February 23, the program is designed for students majoring in Specialty 125 «Cybersecurity and Information Protection». Its primary objective is to cultivate strategic thinking by guiding students beyond a purely technical understanding of security toward the perspective of a security architect – one who recognizes economic risks and understands the business logic driving investment decisions in digital resilience.
