Despite the difficult conditions in which the whole of Ukraine is during a full-scale war, the field of intellectual property manages not only to recover, but also to develop. National inventors, innovators, creators and businesses continue to support the economy of the state and create a new innovative space in the country.

For 9 months of 2023, there was a significant increase in the number of applications for industrial property objects. The total number of applications increased by 44.1% compared to the corresponding period last year. If we compare the indicators of 9 months of 2022 and 2023, the largest increase is in the receipt of applications for trademarks under the national procedure – 50.4%, as well as for utility models – 46.8%.

The most active among institutions of higher education subordinated to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in 9 months of 2023 were:

1. Vinnytsia National Technical University – 123 applications;
2. National Technical University of Ukraine «Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» – 64 applications;
3. ����APP – 63 applications;
4. Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University – 58 applications;
5. State Higher Educational Institution «Kryvyi Rih National University» – 50 applications.
