ICSIT teacher to take part in Bootcamp Week for participants of the national stage of Teens in AI 2026

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Lviv IT Cluster, selected 10 Ukrainian teams to participate in the national stage of the international techathon Teens in AI 2026.

The participants are 53 teenagers from different regions of Ukraine, who have passed the competitive selection among 321 candidates. Among the participants there are representatives of Kyiv, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Odesa and Poltava regions. Each of them has basic and advanced knowledge of Python programming, working with data and artificial intelligence. Experienced mentors will work with the teams and help turn ideas into real AI products.

The teams’ preparation for the techathon began with Inspiration Week from international organizers – a series of educational workshops dedicated to the use of artificial intelligence and Data Science to solve socially important problems.

Bootcamp Week will take place from 9 to 13 February. It features a five-day intensive program, during which participants will be able to deepen their knowledge and receive valuable advice from experts in various fields. In particular, Oleksii Shamuratov, Data Engineer at BrainStack, Doctor of Philosophy, Lecturer at the Department of Artificial Intelligence Systems, the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies, APP, will share his professional insights into the ethical aspects of artificial intelligence.

The national techathon will take place on 21–22 February. During the finals, the teams will present their own chatbots and NLP models aimed at solving current social problems.

The winning team will represent Ukraine at the international Demo Day in April 2026, where it will compete with participants from 101 countries around the world.
