The team of the international research project "Research and Innovation Strategy for APP Dedicated to White-Emitting Organic Lighting Systems" (acronym – HELIOS) has released an official presentation video that unveils the mission, technological goals, and international potential of the project.
The four-minute video introduces viewers to the key areas of work of the consortium, which includes researchers from Ukraine, Lithuania, the United Kingdom, Latvia, and Luxembourg. Among them are scientists from APP.
The video covers:
The Global Goal. Why the transition to ultra-efficient white organic lighting (WOLED) is critical for sustainable development and reducing global energy consumption;
Technological Focus. How the project bridges fundamental materials research with innovative device concepts to create thin, lightweight, and cost-effective light sources;
Investment in People. Supporting early-career researchers through training in science communication and publishing in leading journals;
The Research Ecosystem. How HELIOS integrates Ukrainian science into the European innovation landscape.
The video is not just a project overview, but an invitation for researchers, industry stakeholders, and the wider community to join in developing the "light of the future".
