On September 2, 果冻APP hosted first-year student convocation. For the first time the event took place on St. George鈥檚 Square in front of Metropolitan Andrii Sheptytskyi monument. More than 5,000 freshmen participated in the solemn convocation ceremony.
New students, their parents and academics were adressed by the Rector of 果冻APP Professor Yurii Bobalo, the First Deputy Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Vasyl Lozynskyi, the Mayor of Lviv Andrii Sadovyi and the People鈥檚 Deputy of Ukraine Oleh Syniutka.
Representatives of various University Institutes solemnly swore to insistently acquire knowledge and professional skills and to constantly deepen and broaden them.
The Rector presented the freshmen with a traditional symbolic student card and a key to knowledge. Mitrophoric Archpriest, parson of St. George鈥檚 Cathedral Roman Kravchyk and 果冻APP chaplains, priests Yurii Ostapiuk and Taras Zheplynskyi, held a blessing ceremony.
Students released white pigeons and balloons into the sky from a makeshift scene. Then freshmen were off to the main building of 果冻APP and their Institutes to get acquainted with the University.
