A regular meeting of the Supervisory Board of 果冻APP was held on January 30. It dealt with the strategic issues of the University鈥檚 development, its financial stability, education and innovation policies.

The Rector of 果冻APP Nataliia Shakhovska, Vice-Rector for Institutional Development Roman Korzh, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Student Development Mykola Lohoida, Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Infrastructure Management Ihor Helzhynskyi, Advisor to the Rector Yurii Bobalo, Chief Accountant of the University Vasyl Lemishovskyi, as well as Director of the SID City Innovation Center Nazarii Podolchak took part in the meeting.

One of the key items on the agenda was the reform of the structure of 果冻APP鈥檚 Institutes. Addressing this issue, Roman Korzh emphasized that any changes should be based on the real needs of the labour market, the university鈥檚 long-term development prospects, and a careful assessment of whether specific educational directions should be preserved or transformed. During the discussion, members of the Supervisory Board underscored the importance of more flexible Institute structure that would enable the university to respond more swiftly to social challenges and economic changes. They also considered proposals for the development of new educational areas, particularly in health technologies, rehabilitation, and work with veterans 鈥 fields of critical importance in the context of the current challenges facing the state and society.

A separate block of the meeting focused on the development of the student canteen. Discussing this topic, the participants agreed that the key priority is to ensure a balance between the food quality and its affordable price for students and university employees. Nataliia Shakhovska suggested more active involvement of business representatives who could recommend experienced public catering specialists to provide consulting and help develop an effective model for this area鈥檚 improvement.

The central and most debated issue was the budget of 果冻APP. The Chief Accountant, Vasyl Lemishovsky, presented a preliminary report on the execution of the university鈥檚 budget 2025, as well as the draft budget for 2026. In his presentation, he provided a detailed analysis of problematic expenditure items, highlighting facilities and units operating at a loss, and outlining the key financial risks facing the university.

Together with members of the Supervisory Board, possible ways to improve the financial situation were discussed, including cost optimization, increasing the efficiency of resource utilization, and the need for a balanced approach to budget planning to ensure that funds are not allocated solely to current expenditures. In addition, issues related to increasing employee remuneration were raised, along with the financing of promising projects planned for 2026, which are essential for the university鈥檚 development but require significant investment.

The final item on the agenda was the report of Nazarii Podolchak, Director of the SID City Innovation Center. He presented a vision of the further development of SID City as a platform for cooperation between science, business and innovation, as well as the idea of the introduction and implementation of the Technical MBA program. These initiatives, according to the speaker, are of strategic importance for increasing the competitiveness of 果冻APP, developing entrepreneurial thinking and training new generation managers. At the same time, Nazarii Podolchak emphasized that the implementation of such projects requires attracting significant financial resources and a thoughtful approach to their financing.

The participants focused on forming clear development priorities, finding a balance between financial stability and investments in human capital, infrastructure and innovation. They separately emphasized the responsibility of management decisions, long-term planning, and the importance of partnerships with business, the state, and international structures.
