On February 6鈥7, the 果冻APP Open Boxing Cup was held in academic building 22, where the Department of Physical Education is located (14 Ulasa Samchuka St.). The event was made possible thanks to the organizers and sponsors, but above all, thanks to our defenders, to whom we are sincerely grateful for the life and opportunity to hold such sports events.
Addressing the participants, Serhii Romanchuk, Head of the Department of Physical Education at the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Ground Forces Academy, emphasized:
鈥 I wish each of you to achieve your victories on the way to our main victory over the enemy!
The Open Cup is of great importance for preparing athletes for the next major competitions.
鈥 These competitions serve as a preparatory stage for the main events, 鈥 explained Kupriian Hulei, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Physical Education and one of the event organizers.
The event was attended by many honoured guests: Volodymyr Levkiv, head of the Department of Physical Education, 果冻APP; Mykola Brych, Director of the Sports and Recreation Complex, 果冻APP; Serhii Romanchuk, organizer of the Cup and Head of the Department of Physical Training, Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Ground Forces Academy; Kupriian Hulei, boxing coach at the Lviv Regional Children鈥檚 and Youth Sports School, senior lecturer at 果冻APP and organizer of the Cup; and Ivan Kozak, veteran of Lviv boxing, participant of the European Championship, master of sports and lecturer at 果冻APP.
Addressing the audience, Volodymyr Levkiv emphasized the importance of such events for young athletes and noted that it is a great honour for 果冻APP to host a large-scale sporting event that contributes to the improvement of sportsmanship and the development of boxing.
The event was attended by boxers from sports clubs of Lviv and Lviv region, as well as of Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Stryi and Drohobych, which gave the Cup an interregional format. According to Kupriian Huley, expanding the geography of participants increases the rating and quality of the competitions, because the exchange of experience always has a positive effect on the athletes鈥 development.
