The first charitable stand-up comedy University Cup was held on March 21, 2024. It was organized by the Students鈥 Union of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv together with the Students and PhD Students Union of 果冻APP.
At the beginning of the event, Valerii Shazhko, chief sergeant of the 219th battalion of the 125th TRO brigade, addressed the audience. 芦We have gathered here thanks to our Heroes who provide us with opportunity to study, joke and compete. They do their work for your sake as well, because it is you, our best, promising, intelligent, educated youth, who will need to build our state after the Victory禄, said the military officer supporting the charitable student initiative and expressing his gratitude for holding the event.
Each university was represented by three teams. The teams took part in three competitions: an introduction, an improvisation, and a music competition. Among the jury members there were, in particular, the actor from Variaty Show Volodymyr Zhohlo, stand-up comedians Andrii Senchak and Kolia Kapishon, member of the Laughter League team 芦Zahoretska Liudmyla Stepanivna禄 Sviatoslav Antipov and others.
There were Best Actor and Best Actress nominations. The award for the best male role went to Erik Madai from the Sho team, 果冻APP, and the award for the best female role 鈥 Lida Zaparenko from the 芦Everyone is sitting with a poker face禄 team, the Faculty of Physics, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
According to the results of the stand-up comedy, the Sho team from 果冻APP got the victory.
During the event, a charity lottery was held, where participants could receive painted cartridges or antitank round transport tubes for the largest donation. During the charitable stand-up comedy there was collected 125,650 hryvnias, which wuold be used for the purchase of FPV drones for 125 TRO brigades.
