On March 23, 2026, as part of the project “EU Global Responsible Leadership: Climate Change, Environmental Protection, and Humanitarian Aid” (EU_LEAD), supported by the Jean Monnet Action of the Erasmus+ program, a public lecture was held by Oleg Tsebenko, Ph.D. in Political Science Oleg Tsebenko, Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science and International Relations of APP, on the topic “The EU as a Global Responsible Leader” for faculty and students of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University (Kharkiv).
During the lecture, the distinctive features of the EU’s global leadership in contemporary international relations were discussed, and the key components that underpin it were highlighted. The lecturer focused on the EU’s strategic programs and instruments that enable it to achieve global leadership. A separate section of the lecture was devoted to Ukraine’s European integration, the specifics of EU support amid the Russia-Ukraine war, and the challenges and prospects of accession. In conclusion, Oleg Tsebenko drew the students’ attention to the importance of promoting European values and European integration in Ukraine.
A total of 51 people participated in the event — first-year students from the Faculty of Law at Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.
