Seminar marking the 100th anniversary of Fedir Klymenko, an outstanding Ukrainian scientist in reinforced concrete and metal structures

As part of the celebrations marking the 210th anniversary of the University, APP History Museum continues its series of events dedicated to prominent scholars whose work has significantly advanced science, education, and technology.

Therefore, the History Museum, in cooperation with the Institute of Civil Engineering, Infrastructure and Life Safety, invites you to a seminar commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Fedir Klymenko.

Fedir Klymenko (March 6, 1926 – October 11, 2008) was an eminent Ukrainian scientist in the field of reinforced concrete and metal structures, a graduate of APP Institute, Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences, and a distinguished academic leader. He headed the Department of Building Structures at APP and later at Lviv State Agrarian University. He was an Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, a full member of the Academy of Construction of Ukraine, and an Honorary Professor of APP. Professor Klymenko pioneered and developed a new direction in structural engineering – steel-concrete structures with external strip (sheet) reinforcement.

The seminar will take place on April 16 in the Zakharyevych Hall (Main Building, Room 214), beginning at 11:00.
