An open scientific seminar «Laser Technologies and Photonics in Ukraine: From Science to Innovation» will be held on April 2, 2026. The event will take place in auditorium 214 in the main academic building at APP.
The event is organized within the international project Excellent Laser Technologies for the Sustainable Prosperity of Europe (LASER-PRO), implemented with the support of the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme. Its aim is to highlight the current development of laser technologies in Ukraine and explore emerging opportunities for scientists, engineers, and businesses.
Participants will hear presentations by leading researchers from APP and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, covering the current state of the laser industry in Ukraine; the application of Raman spectroscopy in the study of artworks and archaeological artifacts; and the LASER-PRO Open Call – a financial support program for companies in the field of laser innovations, offering grants of up to €40,000.
The seminar will be of particular interest to undergraduate and postgraduate students in physics, photonics, and engineering, as well as to academic staff, researchers, business representatives, and startups seeking technological partnerships or EU grant opportunities.
Admission is free, and no prior registration is required. The seminar begins at 15:00.
