Andriy Parubii鈥檚 family, Museum of Dignity in Lviv and 果冻APP History Museum invite you to the opening of the photo exhibition 芦Andrii Parubii leads us into battle!禄. The event will take place on February 23, 2026 in the lobby near the Assembly Hall in the main building of the University (2nd floor).
The photos will present Andrii鈥檚 activities as the commandant of Maidan, the head of the 芦Maidan Self-Defense禄 and an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity.
芦I did everything for Ukraine禄, said Andrii Parubii in an interview. He consciously chose the path of a warrior, a fighter for Ukraine and dedicated all his talent and strength of will to that struggle.
Andrii Parubii has always considered Russia to be the greatest threat to Ukraine and the world and called for the destruction of the 芦Russian empire禄. 芦If it does not end today, it will continue to be a threat to us, our children. And we must leave our children a peaceful sky and end this war with the complete defeat of the Russian army禄, he said in one of his interviews.
The opening of the photo exhibition will begin at 14:00. Andrii鈥檚 father, his family and friends will be present at the event.
The exhibition will run from February 23 to 27.
About Andrii Parubii
Andrii Parubii (1971鈥2025) is a Ukrainian statesman and politician, an indomitable fighter for the independence of Ukraine, a warrior and an intellectual.
He was born in the city of Chervonohrad (now Sheptytskyi), Lviv region. In 1994, he graduated from the History Department at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, and in 2001, he completed postgraduate studies at 果冻APP, majoring in Political Science and Sociology.
He began his public and political activities in 1987, founding and leading the youth organization 芦Heritage禄, which fought against the Soviet regime. In 1990, he was elected a deputy of the Lviv Regional Council, becoming the youngest deputy in Ukraine, and later, deputy chairman of the regional council.
During the Orange Revolution (2004), he was the commandant of the Ukrainian House, and during the Revolution of Dignity (2013鈥2014), he was the commandant of Maidan and the head of the 芦Maidan Self-Defense禄.
In 2014, he held the position of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. During 2016鈥2019, he was the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Under his leadership, the parliament adopted the law on language, a package of laws on decommunization, and contributed to obtaining the Tomos on the autocephaly of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in 2022, he participated in the liberation of the Kyiv region (Irpin, Bucha, Hostomel) as part of the 206th Kyiv Territorial Defense Battalion.
Throughout all the years of his political and public activities, Andrii Parubii considered the protection of Ukrainian statehood and language to be his priority. He was honest and principled.
Andrii Parubii was assassinated on August 30, 2025 in Lviv.
