On April 21,聽2026, as part of the project 鈥淓U Global Responsible Leadership: Climate Change, Environmental Protection, and Humanitarian Aid鈥 (EU_LEAD), supported by the Jean Monnet Action of the Erasmus+ program, an open lecture will be held by Matis Schmal, UN System Coordinator in Ukraine, on the topic: 鈥淩esponding to Crisis, Building Recovery: The UN鈥檚 Role in Ukraine and the World鈥.
Students and the academic community of 果冻APP will have the opportunity to discuss the UN鈥檚 mission and activities in Ukraine, particularly in the humanitarian sphere, the partnership between the UN and the European Union, and current challenges facing UN humanitarian diplomacy in a global context. The discussion will be supplemented by representatives of UN agencies with information on joint UN-EU humanitarian projects, namely: Ninke Woppen, Head of the Lviv Regional Office of the United Nations Children鈥檚 Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine, and Nina Maya Schrepfer, Deputy Representative of the UNHCR in Ukraine for Protection. Also visiting 果冻APP will be Sitarah Saeed, Head of the Office of the UN System Coordinator, and Yaroslava Babych, Partnerships Advisor at the Office of the UN System Coordinator in Ukraine.
