International Scientific Conference on Sociocultural Determinants of Intergenerational Synergy: Political and Psychological Dimension

The Department of Theoretical and Applied Psychology, the Institute of Law, Psychology and Innovative Education, APP, will host the International Scientific Conference on Sociocultural Determinants of Intergenerational Synergy: Political and Psychological Dimension. The event will be held online on March 26, 2026.

The conference is organized in cooperation with international partners, including Nottingham Trent University, School of Social Sciences, United Kingdom, the High School of Health Sciences, Switzerland, and the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, Czech Republic.

The conference will focus on the following thematic areas:

  1. Epistemological models of the sociocultural determination of political interaction between generations (paradigms of understanding intergenerational interaction; methodological approaches to analyzing political continuity and discontinuities; the role of values, ethnocultural narratives, and experiences of political participation).
  2. Symbolic construction of transgenerational identity in the era of metamodernity (symbols, myths, and collective memory in intergenerational communication; the tension between irony and sincerity; the reconfiguration of identities in multicultural contexts).
  3. Intergenerational synergy and the challenges of establishing meritocracy in transitional societies (the conflict between experience and innovation; social mobility and barriers between generations; equity in access to resources, power, and recognition).
  4. The role of media and digital technologies in the political socialization of generations: bridging gaps, enabling transmission, or facilitating engagement (digital generations and media memory; algorithmic influences on political orientations; emerging forms of intergenerational dialogue and manipulation).
  5. Strategies and practices of intergenerational synergy in times of crisis and transformation: adaptive models of generational interaction; solidarity and conflict in crisis contexts; the role of traumatic experience and resilience.
  6. The principle of age diversity and its implementation in the professional ethics of public institutions: ageism and anti-discrimination practices; ethical standards of intergenerational interaction; management of age diversity in education, politics, and public administration.

The conference will begin at 10:00. Working languages: Ukrainian and English. Participation in the conference is free of charge.
