International Scientific Conference «Beyond Language 2026»

On 2–3 June 2026, the Department of Applied Linguistics, the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies, APP, will host the International Scientific Conference «Beyond Language 2026». The event will bring together researchers from different countries whose work focuses on language, literature, and culture as fundamental dimensions of human communication and social behavior.

The conference aims to highlight the importance of studying minority language communities, endangered languages, literatures and cultures, as well as issues related to anthropological linguistics, mechanisms of language change and language extinction, the ethnography of communication, and research in translation and interpreting studies.

Among the distinguished participants there are:

  • Anatolii Zahnitko – Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor at the Department of General and Applied Linguistics and Slavic Philology at Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University;
  • Yevhen Nakhlik – Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, Full Member (Academician) of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Foreign Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Director of the Ivan Franko Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Honoured Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine.
