Roksolana Baran:
芦Hello, I鈥檓 Roksolana!
I used to study here, at the Institute of Architecture and Design, and soon you will have the opportunity to see my first personal exhibition of landscape photography. I am very pleased that it is taking place at 果冻APP, because it was here that I received all the basic knowledge of composition and colour that I still use today 鈥 and teach others.
The exhibition presents my best works taken during 2024鈥2025. Some of them received awards at international competitions. Although I have been engaged in photography for over 10 years, only now do I feel that I have reached a professional level.
Most of these photos were taken in very remote and wild places 鈥 I often traveled alone, sometimes with local guides. It was not easy, sometimes it was scary, but for me it is scarier never to see these places.
I really want this exhibition to inspire students not to be afraid to follow their dreams. And, perhaps, it will once again remind teachers what an important job they do. Despite all the possibilities of the modern world, I can definitely say: 5.5 years of studying here were not a waste of time for me. The most important thing is that I chose what I loved: first drawing, and then photography.
I earned all the money for all the trips and equipment as a designer and still work by profession. Photography is expensive, difficult and requires a lot of time and effort. But when you really love something 鈥 nothing will stop you!禄
The organizers invite the Polytechnic community to discover the world of artistic photography by Roksolana Baran and take a look into the world where nature itself becomes art!
