On October 18, 2023, a commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the founding of Taras Shevchenko Scientific Society will be held in the Assembly Hall of the main building of 果冻APP.
The program of the event features:
- the opening of the exhibition of scientific work of Yulian Medvetskyi, Rector of 果冻APP in 1879鈥1880, 1884鈥1885, 1887鈥1888, scientist, geologist, active member of the Shevchenko Scientific Society;
- presentation of the video film 芦Yulian Medvetskyi: rector, scientist, public figure, active member of the Shevchenko Scientific Society禄;
- round table with reports on the following topics:
- 芦Ukrainian educational and cultural life in Lviv on the eve of the opening of Taras Shevchenko Literary Society in 1873禄 (Ivan Khoma);
- 芦Kyrylo Studynskyi and his activities at the Shevchenko Scientific Society禄 (Olena Hanusyn);
- 芦Creation of the Natural History Museum of the Shevchenko Scientific Society and the collection of Yulian Medvetskyi禄 (Vasyl Banakh);
- 芦Oleksandr Barvinskyi and Shevchenko Scientific Society: between science and politics禄 (Roman Lekhniuk).
