9th Tyktor Readings: Promoting Ukrainian at Home and Abroad: National Brand – Cultural Communication – Cultural Diplomacy

The Department of Media Technologies, Information and Book Business, APP, invites you to participate in the 9th Tyktor Readings entitled «Promoting Ukrainian at Home and Abroad: National Brand – Cultural Communication – Cultural Diplomacy», held in the format of an International Scientific and Practical Conference. The event will take place on June 4–5, 2026, at the Institute of Printing Art and Media Technologies.

The event is dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of the prominent Ukrainian publisher Ivan Tyktor (1896–1982) and continues the tradition of honouring his legacy while exploring the achievements of the Ukrainian Press publishing concern which he founded. Tyktor and his associates successfully combined entrepreneurial vision with creative innovation, adopting advanced international technologies while remaining committed to high social ideals and the promotion of national identity. Their experience remains a valuable guide for contemporary publishers, advertisers, artists, designers, and media professionals engaged in shaping today’s information and cultural space.

Conference topics include:

The Tyktor era as a subject of scholarly research and a promising cultural project;

  • Publishing brands and the cultural image of the state;
  • Ukrainian media in the global information space;
  • Advertising, public relations, and national identity;
  • Libraries as centers of contemporary communication and guardians of cultural memory;
  • Visual culture, design, and national representation.

Young researchers, including undergraduate and postgraduate students, are invited to participate. Working languages: Ukrainian, English, and Polish. The conference will be held in a hybrid format, allowing both offline and online participation.
